Services

There are different levels of mold and types of air sampling and analysis. The appropriate service depends on the conditions of the property and the particular needs of the client. The objective of an inspection and interior air analysis is to distinguish between the type and quantity of molds and airborne allergens that might be actively growing or present in the locations sampled, from those that would be naturally occurring both in the premises and outdoors. This is accomplished by collecting airborne mold spores and aerosols on an adhesive coated glass slide contained in a cassette housing, which is then directly analyzed by microscopic examination.

Trained Environmental Professional

Envirotest performs air and interior surface mold intrusion assessments and testing, and provides detailed results of sample analysis, explanations of reasons in support of conclusions, and-when necessary or appropriate- specific recommendations for remediation by others. All inspections and sampling are conducted by a trained environmental professional-specifically a Microbiologist specializing in Mycology (the study of fungi.) All sample analysis is performed in an EPA certified laboratory.

Limited Mold Sampling

The purpose of Limited Mold Sampling is to determine the presence of mold and airborne aerosols in client-defined areas of the property. A careful visual assessment of the property is made in order to identify possible visible mold or conditions that may be conducive to mold growth. One or more air or physical samples are then collected in the defined areas and microscopically analyzed and reported.
